HR Strategic Decision Making: Intelligence Quotient (IQ) or Emotional Quotient (EQ)?

Why you should attend: 

You will learn how to mitigate people problems and increase "people capabilities" to meet your HR business goals using emotional intelligence.

  • Identify the difference between emotional intelligence and intellectual intelligence
  • Learn to analyze people problems using your EQ instead of your IQ

Instructor Profile:  Cynthia Y. Thompson is Principal and Founder of The Thompson HR Firm, LLC, a human resources consulting company in Memphis, TN.  She is a senior human resources executive with more than twenty years of human resources experience concentrated in publicly traded companies. She is also the Publisher / Editor of HR Professionals Magazine, a HR trade publication distributed to HR professionals in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. Cynthia has an MBA and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She is a sought-after speaker on HR Strategic Leadership. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Christian Brothers University in Memphis teaching Human Resources Management and Principles of Management. She has also taught Business Communications in the MBA program at Belhaven College in Memphis, and most recently taught a HR Certification Exam Preparatory Course at Bethel University in Memphis.
