Wellbeing Works Florida (WWF)

Wellbeing Works Florida (WWF) is a collaborative partnership between HR Florida State Council and Tobacco Free Florida (TFF) that helps organizations improve employee wellbeing. This initiative is supported by our Title Partner Sponsor One Digital, as well as Partner Sponsors Lifelock/Norton and
Aetna.  By engaging with chapters throughout 2019 and 2020, WWF will motivate, empower, and recognize companies/organizations for establishing effective worksite wellness programs and fostering a healthy and thriving workforce.

Worksite wellness programs have proven benefits for both employers and their employees. Research continues to show that providing resources and opportunities for employees to improve their wellbeing leads to increased workplace productivity, increased healthy behaviors, lower health care costs, and
strengthened company culture! When establishing a comprehensive worksite wellness program, it is critically important not to overlook the number one cause of preventable death and disease in the US, tobacco use. The easiest and most cost-effective step an employer can take to improve the wellbeing of everyone at the workplace is to protect employees from secondhand smoke and make it easier for the people who use tobacco to quit. While this is a great first step, the program will go far beyond!

The Success Tool© is a collection of statements in the form of an assessment or questionnaire, that assigns points to companies which have taken, or plan to take, important steps toward establishing components of a strong worksite wellness program. Once a company earns the points required, they will achieve a WWF Bronze, Silver, or Gold award! Companies will have the opportunity to complete the Success Tool© twice each year to record improvements to their worksite wellness programs.

All Bronze, Silver and Gold award winners will receive:

  • A plaque to commemorate their achievement level
  • A mention in the HR Florida Review magazine

Gold award winners will also receive:

  • One complimentary HR Florida State Conference & Expo registration
  • Highlights on HR Florida’s social media
  • Opportunity to write a blog for HR Florida’s Mouth of the South
  • A donation to the SHRM Foundation, in their company’s name
