FORT PIERCE, FL--Even in this rather trying economy, there are still great places to work in our community. The St. Lucie County Human Resource Association today recognized 12 companies, four in each of three categories, during the 9th Annual St. Lucie County "Best Place to Work" Awards. 

50 Employees and Under

The St. Lucie County Human Resource Association commissioned Personnel Dynamics Consulting of Fort Pierce, to calculate turnover rates, growth percentages, employee development spending, promotion percentages, insurance packages and retirement plans; a total of 37 different measurements to determine the St. Lucie County's Best Places To Work.  

Participating companies were required to answer a 40-question survey about their organization.  There were no costs associated with participating and every company will receive a detailed personalized report documenting the results of the survey and samples of some of the best practices used in St. Lucie County to attract and retain their workforce.

The St. Lucie County Human Resource Association in partnership with Workforce Solutions and the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce presented the 2010 St. Lucie County Best Places to Work Program. 

This year's program was sponsored by Workforce Solutions, Comcast, CCTI, Indian River State College, Tropicana, St. Lucie County Sheriff, The Breeze 93.7, Star 94.7, Oldies 103.7, Richard K. Davis Construction, Remetronix, Spherion, Martin Memorial Health Systems,  Seacoast National Bank, Geiger and St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

The St. Lucie County Human Resources Association is the local chapter for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  The association became an affiliate chapter of SHRM in 1986 with the purpose of bringing together human resource professionals.
